Public Consultation No. 2
The second public consultation for the Lough Ree Greenway ran from 11th March 2025 to the 11th April 2025.
The consultation was held online through this project website in addition to the in-person public consultation day held on the 11th March 2025.
The project team would like to thank everyone who participated in this consultation both through this website and at our in-person events, as local feedback is crucial to the success of this project.

Public Consultation No. 1
In Phase 1 (Concept and Feasibility), the first public consultation for the Athlone to Ballyleague / Lanesborough Greenway was held in March 2023 and displayed the study area for the project. An in-person event took place at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on 23rd March 2023. Feedback received helped inform the development of Phase 2 (Options Selection) route corridor options for the scheme.
